D. Nikolinakos obtained his PhD degree in philosophy from Temple University, USA. His primary research interests lie in philosophy of mind, cognitive science, aesthetics, and philosophy of art. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in these areas. He has published various articles on the subject of consciousness. His current research concentrates on the neuroscience of synesthesia.
